Come and enjoy a family fun afternoon this Saturday, in aid of church funds. There will be plenty of stalls and activities to suit both adults and children. In the case of inclement weather, the event would be held in the church but we are praying for sunshine so that we can enjoy the outdoors.

The monthly luncheon club, held on the 8th May was extra special as it was also V.E. Day. The porch and narthex of the church were decked out in red, white and blue with bunting and balloons. The luncheon club members held a two minutes silence outside by the war memorial in remembrance of the soldiers who did not come home. The children from the primary school came out into the school yard and also observed the silence. The club members then went inside and enjoyed a wonderful lunch and fellowship. A lively concert featuring the well-loved songs from the 1960’s was enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience on Saturday evening 26th April. The 60’s band entertained the crowd with music made famous by groups such as the Beatles, the Searchers, and the Hollies, to name but a few. Concert goers were dancing in the aisles and singing along to the familiar lyrics of these memorable songs. Many members of the audience had dressed up in the 1960’s fashions and a highlight of the evening was the presentation of a trophy to the best dressed man and woman.

Almost 50 parishioners enjoyed a wonderful Christmas lunch in the church narthex today. Table decorations and Christmas crackers added to the festive spirit as people ate their meal and chatted to their friends. There was an added surprise when the Children’s Choir from Christ Church School came into church and sang Christmas Carols. The younger children from the school presented each parishioner with a Christmas Decoration which they had made and hand-made cards were distributed that had been made by the Brownies. Sisters India and Violetta were christened on Sunday 17th November 2024 during our All Age Worship Service. We welcome them into the church family and wish them every happiness as they travel through life. Here they are with their mum and dad and their big brother Oliver.

The christening of baby Autumn took place within our September ‘All Age Worship’ Service.  We welcome her into the family of the church and wish her every happiness as she journeys through life.

It was a delight to have Millie baptised during our communion service on Sunday 18th August. We wish her God’s richest blessings on her journey through life.

Andrew, Clodia and their two children Hallie and Eden were baptised at Christ Church on Sunday 21st July during the service of Holy Communion. We welcome them into the family of the church and wish them every happiness for the future.
